High profile speakers to address FEI Sports Forum

FEI PRESS RELEASE Lausanne (SUI), 28 March 2013 High profile speakers to address FEI Sports Forum The FEI has announced the full list of high profile speakers that will address the FEI Sports Forum in Lausanne (SUI) in two weeks’ time.

FEI President HRH Princess Haya, IOC Executive Board Member Claudia Bokel, IOC Sports and Deputy Olympic Games Executive Director Christophe Dubi, Dr Susanne Münstermann, chargée de mission at the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), and Dr Hischam El-Agamy, Executive Director and Founder of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) will be on the panel of speakers at the Sports Forum.

FEI 1st Vice President John McEwen, Dr Alf-Eckbert Füssel, Deputy Head of Unit of the European Commission Health and Consumers Directorate-General, Professor Maury Peiperl, Professor of Leadership and Strategic Change at IMD, Thomas Batliner, investment consultant and former Olympian, Sergei Aschwanden, Olympic judo bronze medallist as well as members of the FEI management will also be making presentations to the Forum.

“The quality of the speakers at this year’s Sports Forum is of the highest order,” FEI Secretary General Ingmar De Vos commented. “We are looking forward to a really excellent event which will provide a perfect opportunity for the FEI and its stakeholder groups to evaluate opinions on issues affecting the equestrian community.”

The Sports Forum will take place on 8 and 9 April at the IMD in Lausanne. Olympic and Paralympic Games qualification, dual careers for athletes and the international movement of competition horses will be the topics for discussion on the first day. Three round table sessions on Jumping, Dressage and Driving will be held on the second day. The chair and members of the respective FEI Technical Committees and FEI Discipline Directors will be involved in these sessions.
